Friends of Sherborne House

 

The Friends have an active involvement with the running of the House. They run an programme of events ranging from purely social to academic lectures and day seminars. These usually have a historical or artistic theme that is relevant to Sherborne House. All proceeds, of course, are directed to funds for the benefit of the house. A major fund-raising initiative is the Sherborne House Endowment Fund. This aims to raise £100,000 in 2007 which will be invested to produce an income. It is most important that the project is independent of external grants.

The Friends are happy to offer guided tours of the House to interested groups and organisations by prior arrangement.

Membership benefits include a regular newsletter, social events and priority access to a lecture programme featuring nationally respected speakers. Membership benefits also include priority booking for the events programme and invitations to private views of exhibitions.

Subscription rates are
£15 a year (minimum) for individual members or
£25 a year (minimum) for family membership.
