The
Sherborne House Endowment Fund
Now
that Dorset County Council have stated that they intend to offer
a long lease of Sherborne House to the Sherborne House Trust, the
future of the House as a Regional Centre for the Visual Arts is
looking much more secure. Enough money should be generated by development
of some of the back land to fund essential repairs and to put the
House in order. The Trust will then be applying for capital grants
to fund Phase 2 which will include the sculpture garden and housing
the Frink archive. Many enterprises, however, even if they have
raised capital funding, fail because they cannot generate sufficient
income. They are then dependent on grants from outside bodies to
survive.

We
are determined that Sherborne House will be essentially self-supporting,
generating income from the Arts Programme and the other activities
that will increase in range and number after the house is
restored.
To
help maintain an adequate income the Friends of Sherborne
House have established The Sherborne House Endowment Fund.

Money
donated is placed in a dedicated investment sub-account administered
by the Friends. The interest from this will be available as income
to the Sherborne House Trust.
You
can donate
now by pressing the magic button below. Please help us to secure
the future of Sherborne House with its Thornhill Mural. Thank you
in anticipation.
