Sherborne House Update

rule space

Dorset County Council have announced their intention to sell Sherborne House to Redcliffe Homes, a Bristol-based housing developer. Negotiations are taking place between Redcliffe Homes and Sherborne House Trust in the hope that the Trust will be able to retain the use of the ground floor to continue its successful visual arts programme and allow public access to the archive and works of Dame Elisabeth Frink.

Although currently unable to present an arts programme at Sherborne House, Sherborne House Arts will continue to promote contemporary visual art in the region. It plans a series of exhibitions with accompanying seminars, artists’ talks and workshops at host venues along the coast.
