This maquette is one of several which are based on the theme of world conflict. It depicts a person running who is on fire - it could be the victim of a petrol bombing or an igniting suicide bomber. The work explores the thoughts and feelings that may race through the mind of someone who is being consumed by fire - the panic associated with the instinct to stay alive and the terror of losing it.
