I carve irregular shapes of dense polystyrene with symbols found in international information signs. Sign-men and women shopping, watching TV, surfing the net, driving cars, flying etc. I paint these in a heavy-body acrylic; they often look like ancient stone. I think of them as fragments of a lost civilisation.
