Drawing with the needle, I 'colour in' areas of cloth using the rhythmical action of a sewing machine. This technique, although mechanical in principle, allows the freedom to be creative in an intuitive and physically expressive way. Working 'blind' on the back of the cloth adds another dimension of the unexpected.
