FULL SPECTRUM - Open Exhibition
22 July - 20 August 2006

Ann Gillies
When working with painting I move towards simplification, towards a quiet and stillness. Suspended in water, the pigment is colour that flows, seeps, retreats and bleeds to form edges and vast drifts. After the water has evaporated the colour remains, a testimony to this process of watercolour on paper.
