Spectrum The exhibition is open to submissions on the theme 'colour and chemistry' from artists based in the South West and working in any media. There will be two prizes - the offer of a solo show at Sherborne House and a cash prize of £750. Artists may submit images of up to three works. SUBMISSION INFORMATION THEME: The theme is 'colour and chemistry' and is open to any interpretation and can apply to the process and materials or the inspiration and subject matter. MEDIA: Submissions are invited in any media including, but not limited to, painting, printmaking, photography, collage, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, wood, metal, glass, time based, installation, conceptual. PRIZES: One prize of £750. One prize of a solo Show at Sherborne House SELECTORS: Bryony Bond, Curator for the Colour + Chemistry project, Clare Cooper, Director, Art First Contemporary Art, Cork Street, London, a third judge will be announced as soon as confirmed. SUBMISSION FORMAT: Please supply images in one of the following formats: Photographs, 35mm Slides, JPG on CD (with accompanying hard copy), DVD, video. For installation work send description of proposed work with accompanying drawings, diagrams or photographs plus images of previous installations. CD/DVDs should be Mac readable. No original artworks please. Sherborne House will not accept any entries by email. Submissions will only be returned if accompanied by a suitable SAE. ELIGIBILITY: The exhibition is open to any artist based in the South West - this is defined as the Arts Council England South West funding area which includes Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Bath, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire. FEE: Up to 3 works may be entered. 1 entry £15, subsequent
entries £5 each i.e. total for 3 works would be £25 DEADLINE: Entries must be received by 4.30pm on Thursday 1 June 2006.
